Creamed peas are a delicious side to add to any meal.
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 (12-13 oz) bags frozen peas
- 1/4 cup water
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 3 heaping Tbsp flour
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Melt butter in a stock pot.
Add peas and water and let cook until peas are thawed. Add salt and pepper.
Measure out the milk and whisk in the flour until dissolved. Pour the mixture into the peas and allow it to come to a slight boil.
Stir in sugar and mozzarella. Add more salt and pepper if desired and serve.
